Hunter in the Forest

Hunter in the Forest was created during a performance in the forest near Tulum, where the act of painting became a physical return to a more primitive state. Working with paint, rope, wood, and found natural elements, I entered the condition of a Neanderthal-like hunter: instinctive, bodily, alert, and outside ordinary logic. The canvas became less a surface to compose and more a living field of action. Branches, marks, color, and cuts formed a ritual object that carries the energy of the place, the body, and the performance itself.
